It's official—the first plugin in the Remi Blaze Plugin Suite is live. Torchit is a free saturation and drive plugin, available to download right now in AU, VST3, and Standalone formats for macOS.
Engineered to inject raw heat and character into any signal, Torchit launches with four distinct saturation modes: Warm (smooth analog tanh), Grit (asymmetric rational clip), Tube (triode character), and Tape (magnetic compression). It delivers my specific flavor of saturation—a precise way to dial in everything from subtle warmth to full-blown sonic destruction, baking my signature sound DNA directly into the software.
What's Inside
- Four Saturation Modes: Warm, Grit, Tube, and Tape—each featuring Hard, Medium, and Soft knee options.
- Three Tone Modes: BAL (tilt EQ), GLW (precision shelf), and FX (morph filter).
- Anti-Mud HP Filter: Keeps the low-end clean and driving with three slope modes.
- Delta Monitoring: Solo the saturation and tone to hear exactly what the plugin is adding to your mix.
- Auto-Gain: A drive-to-output inverse link for honest, level-matched A/B comparisons.
- Oversampling: Draft (4x) and HQ (8x) modes for high-fidelity processing.
- 16 Factory Presets: Includes my signature "Remi Blaze Heat" setting.
Why Saturation First?
Every track I make goes through saturation at some point. Whether it's adding weight to a kick, presence to a bassline, vocal texture, or gluing the master bus together, everything benefits from a little bit of heat. I wanted a plugin that didn't require five minutes of setup to sound right. I built Torchit so you can load it up, pick your mode, and instantly deliver unique signature sound DNA directly to your DAW.
What's Next
Torchit is just the beginning. As the inaugural release in a growing collection of tools designed by a producer, for producers, it sets the standard for what's to come. The roadmap for the Remi Blaze Plugin Suite includes a compressor, EQ, sidechain ducker, delay, reverb, DJ tools, creative effects, and beyond.
