INSTALLATION GUIDE

1. Run the Installer

Download the .pkg file and double-click it. The installer places AU and VST3 files in the correct system locations automatically — no manual file copying required.

Signed & notarized by Apple — the installer runs cleanly with no security warnings and no "Open Anyway."

2. Choose Your Formats

The installer lets you pick AU (Logic, GarageBand, Ableton), VST3 (Ableton, Reaper, Bitwig, FL Studio), and the Standalone app. Install takes a few seconds.

3. Open Your DAW

Restart your DAW and find the plugin in your effects list under Remi Blaze.

  • Logic Pro: Audio Effects > Remi Blaze > Torchit
  • Ableton Live: Plugins > Audio Effects > VST3 > Torchit
  • Reaper: FX > VST3 > Torchit

If the plugin doesn't appear, force a plugin rescan in your DAW preferences. See the FAQ below for DAW-specific steps.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

macOS SECURITY

Do I need to bypass any macOS security warnings?

No. Every Remi Blaze plugin is signed and notarized by Apple, so the installer runs cleanly — no "developer cannot be verified" prompt, no Privacy & Security step, no "Open Anyway." Just download the .pkg, double-click, and install.

Are the plugins safe to install?

Yes. The plugins are built by Remi Blaze (Empellex Inc., Ontario, Canada), signed and notarized by Apple, distributed via GitHub Releases, and installed only to standard macOS plugin directories. No telemetry, no network calls, no background processes. The plugins do exactly one thing: process audio.

INSTALLATION & COMPATIBILITY

How do I install the plugins?

Download the .pkg installer and run it. It installs AU and VST3 files to the correct system locations automatically — no manual file copying needed. Then restart your DAW. See the full installation guide above.

The plugin doesn't show up in my DAW

Try these steps in order:

  1. Verify plugin files are in the correct system folders (not your user folder)
  2. Completely quit and restart your DAW (not just close the window)
  3. Force a plugin rescan in your DAW's preferences
  4. Try running the Standalone version to verify the plugin works on your system
Which DAWs are supported?

All Remi Blaze plugins work with any AU or VST3 compatible DAW on macOS, including:

  • Ableton Live 11+
  • Logic Pro
  • Reaper
  • Bitwig Studio
  • FL Studio (macOS)
  • Cubase / Nuendo
  • Studio One
  • Any other AU or VST3 host

Each plugin also includes a Standalone application that works without a DAW.

Does it work on Apple Silicon?

Yes. All Remi Blaze plugins are Universal Binaries that run natively on both Apple Silicon (M1, M2, M3, M4) and Intel Macs. No Rosetta translation is required — the plugins run at full native performance on all supported hardware.

How do I uninstall?

To remove a plugin:

  1. Delete the .component file from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
  2. Delete the .vst3 file from /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/
  3. Optionally, delete saved presets from ~/Library/Application Support/RemiBlaze/[PluginName]/
  4. Restart your DAW
Where are presets stored?

Factory presets are built into the plugin binary — they're always available and can't be accidentally deleted.

User presets saved via the plugin's preset save/load feature are stored as .preset files in:

~/Library/Application Support/RemiBlaze/[PluginName]/Presets/

You can share preset files with other users by copying these files. To back up your presets, copy this entire folder.

How do I report a bug?

Use the contact form at the bottom of this page. Please include:

  • Your macOS version (e.g., macOS 15.1)
  • DAW name and version (e.g., Ableton Live 12.1)
  • Plugin name and version
  • Steps to reproduce the issue
  • What you expected vs. what happened
Are the plugins really free?

Yes. All plugins in the Remi Blaze Plugin Suite are free to download and use in any project — personal, commercial, or collaborative — at no cost.

Can I use these plugins in commercial music?

Absolutely. You can use the plugins in any project — released music, client work, film scoring, game audio, livestreams, anything. Your music is yours.

Do the plugins work on Windows or Linux?

Currently macOS only (15.0+). Windows and Linux builds may come in the future — the plugins are built with JUCE, which supports all three platforms. Follow for updates.
