Base is an Ethereum Layer 2 built by Coinbase. Gas fees are typically under $0.10 per transaction vs. $5–50 on Ethereum mainnet. It's fast, supported by MetaMask natively, and trades on OpenSea. The choice is straightforward — mainnet gas would be worse than the pass price itself.
Yes. Both passes are standard ERC-721 tokens — you can sell or transfer on OpenSea or any Base-compatible marketplace. Access follows the wallet that holds the token. If you transfer it, the new holder gets access and you lose it. This is intentional — the NFT is the license.
Back up your seed phrase — this is standard practice for any crypto wallet. If you lose access and can't recover it with your seed phrase, the NFT is gone. There is no account-based recovery because there are no accounts. This is the tradeoff of self-custody — you own it completely, including the responsibility.
