One SPACE knob spreads the stereo image and eases in high-frequency shimmer together, so your sound gets wider and airier at the same time — mono-safe and level-matched, so it just sounds bigger, never louder. WHAT IT DOES
Orbitix Raw opens up your mix from a single knob. It spreads the stereo image and eases in high-frequency shimmer for air — the same engine from the full Orbitix, here pinned to a mono-safe, level-stable mode that keeps your bass solid and centered. The level is matched as you widen, so your mix sounds bigger and more dimensional, not just louder.
THE SPACE KNOB
SPACE is a single macro that drives width and shimmer together. As you turn it up, the stereo field spreads and a polished high-frequency shimmer eases in for sparkle. It runs in a mono-safe, level-stable mode the whole time, keeping the low end mono so the result is always club- and phone-compatible. At zero, Orbitix Raw is fully transparent, and everything else is tuned internally — SPACE is the only control you need.
UNDER THE HOOD
Bass-mono crossover — a Linkwitz-Riley split sums everything below the crossover to mono and only widens the highs, protecting the low end.
Correlation Safe Mode — width is pulled back when phase correlation drops, and a Center-Anchor Gain Shield locks the phantom center, so the mix survives mono fold-down.
Oversampled shimmer — the air exciter is generated through 8× polyphase-IIR oversampling for clean, anti-aliased high-frequency saturation, with an anti-hiss gate that fades the shimmer on near-silent input.
Level-matched, constant latency — a gentle output bias holds perceived level steady as the air builds, and the shimmer oversampler's latency is reported once and never changes mid-stream, so plugin delay compensation stays stable.
Output safety — a 15 Hz DC blocker preserves headroom and a soft-knee sanitizer bounds the output and guards against NaN/Inf on any input.
