PRISMATE

Parametric EQ & Air Enhancer

Sculpt clarity, air, and presence with a clean, visual three-band EQ — a low shelf, a parametric mid bell, and a high shelf framed by musical low-cut and high-cut filters and a live spectrum analyzer. Push presence and air where a track needs it, tighten the mid with Q-Link, then let Auto-Gain keep your levels honest for a fair A/B.

FEATURES

Three-Band Parametric EQ

Low Shelf — 20–500 Hz, −24 to +24 dB gain
Mid Bell — 200–8000 Hz, −24 to +24 dB gain, parametric Q from 0.1 to 10.0
High Shelf — 2000–20000 Hz, −24 to +24 dB gain
Per-band bypass buttons for quick A/B of individual bands

Filters & Tone Shaping

Low Cut filter — 20–1000 Hz with selectable 12, 24, or 48 dB/oct slope
High Cut filter — sweepable low-pass, 1000–20000 Hz, with an enable toggle
Q-Link — mid Q scales inversely with gain for natural analog bandwidth narrowing
Band Solo — isolate the low, mid, or high band to hear exactly what you're shaping

Natural Phase & Air

2x oversampled Natural Phase mode prevents EQ curve cramping near Nyquist
Latency reported to the host only when Natural Phase is active, so bypass stays delay-compensated and track alignment holds
Auto-Gain — RMS-matched level compensation for an honest before/after comparison
5 Hz DC blocker keeps the low end clean, plus parameter smoothing on every control to prevent zipper noise

Display & Output

Real-time spectrum analyzer — 2048-point FFT with a live EQ response curve, refreshing at 30 Hz on a logarithmic frequency axis
Output level −24 to +6 dB, with a tanh soft clipper near full scale as an output safety ceiling
Full-plugin bypass, A/B slots to store two settings, Randomize, and 15 factory presets
Resizable UI (500×400 to 900×750), tooltips on every control, and double-click reset to defaults

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Prismate free?

Yes. Prismate is completely free to download and use under a proprietary freeware license. No trial, no watermark, no feature limits.

What EQ bands does Prismate have?

Three bands: a Low Shelf (20–500 Hz), a parametric Mid Bell (200 Hz–8 kHz with adjustable Q from 0.1 to 10), and a High Shelf (2–20 kHz). Each band has ±24 dB of gain and its own bypass button, framed by sweepable Low Cut and High Cut filters.

What is Natural Phase?

Natural Phase engages 2x oversampled processing so the EQ curve doesn't cramp near the Nyquist frequency, giving cleaner high-frequency behaviour. Latency is only reported to the host when Natural Phase is active, so bypass stays delay-compensated and track alignment holds.

What does Q-Link do?

Q-Link automatically tightens the mid band's Q as you push its gain, so the bell narrows the way an analog EQ would. It's a one-click toggle for a more musical midrange move.

How do I compare before and after honestly?

Turn on Auto-Gain — it RMS-matches the output to the input so a boost doesn't just sound "louder = better." Use Band Solo to isolate the low, mid, or high band, and the A/B slots to store two settings and toggle instantly.

Does Prismate support Apple Silicon?

Yes. Prismate is a Universal Binary that runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs.
