Subzix Raw

Real sub weight shouldn't take a mixing degree. Subzix Raw is the free, one-knob path to bigger, deeper low end on basslines, kicks, synths, and full mixes — turn up SUB and it gets heavier, never louder. No menus, no setup, just the drop your track's been missing.

Subzix Raw makes your low end bigger from a single knob. It tracks the pitch of your bass and adds phase-locked octave-down sub harmonics, low-end saturation for richness, and a touch of stereo width on the top — the same engine from the full Subzix, here pinned to Warm saturation and 100% wet. A built-in gain bias means the result is always heavier and level-matched, so you hear weight, not just volume.

Linkwitz-Riley crossover — the signal is split into a bass band and a top band around a fixed crossover point before any processing.

Pitch-tracked, phase-aligned sub — the engine tracks the pitch of your bass and generates a sub one octave below it (with a 27.5 Hz fallback), gated so it never fires on near-silent input and capped so the generated sub never exceeds the original bass energy; the bass band is phase-aligned and summed to mono with +3 dB compensation to stay tight and centered.

Warm saturation with safety filtering — a 25 Hz safety high-pass removes headroom-eating subsonics, the Warm bass saturation runs at 2× oversampling to control aliasing, and a 5 Hz DC blocker follows.

Constant latency — the reported latency (crossover lookahead plus 2× saturation oversampling) is fixed and never changes as you turn the knob, so host delay compensation stays stable.

Output safety and denormal protection — a smooth-knee soft clipper provides a 0 dBFS ceiling followed by a NaN/Inf safety sweep, and denormal protection runs in every processing block with input sanitized before it reaches any filter.
