Flarex Raw

One knob to a bigger mix. Flarex Raw is the free, one-knob version of Remi Blaze's Flarex — turn a single WIDTH knob to spread synths, pads, and vocals across the stereo field, always mono-safe. No menus, no guesswork, no phase problems.

Under the hood it runs mid/side processing while keeping the low end locked to mono. The bass-mono crossover is always active — your sub and kick stay centered no matter how wide you push the top end — and a phase-correlation safety net automatically pulls the width back if the signal ever drifts toward cancellation. Club-safe stereo width, every time.

One knob, hidden parameters — WIDTH is the only host-automatable parameter; the M/S width, mid/side gain, bass-mono, and output controls are each wrapped as non-automatable so they never clutter your automation list, yet still save and restore with the plugin's state.

Mid/side imager — the signal is encoded to mid/side, widened with a power-constant scaling and mono-compatible all-pass decorrelation above unity, then decoded to L/R, so a wider image still collapses cleanly to mono.

Always-on bass-mono — a Linkwitz-Riley crossover pinned to 120 Hz removes the low side content so the bass sums to the centre, crossfaded in so nothing clicks and the low end never phase-cancels.

Phase-Lock Sentinel — a per-block correlation meter smoothly pulls the width back if phase problems appear, and a Deep-Dive hard-mute collapses to mono if correlation goes severely negative, keeping the widening mono-safe.

Constant latency and safety — the engine reports zero latency so the host's plugin-delay compensation never changes mid-stream, with NaN/Inf protection, a hard limiter, and denormal guards keeping every knob position clean.
