WHAT IT IS

Forgex is the Swiss army knife that goes on every track — gain, pan, stereo width, phase, channel routing, low-end mono, and safety limiting in one dead-simple utility. Precise gain staging, two pan laws, and mid/side stereo width sit alongside a complete forensic toolkit: low-end monomizing, intersample-peak limiting, phase tools, and real-time correlation and level metering so you always know what your signal is doing. It keeps your stereo image wide, your bass mono, and your mix translation-proof from headphones to club system.

◆ISP Limiter — intersample-peak limiting at a -0.1 dB ceiling with instant attack and ~50 ms release to prevent D/A clipping
◆DC Filter — 5 Hz high-pass removes DC offset from the chain
◆Correlation Meter — real-time phase correlation (-1 to +1), color-coded with an out-of-phase warning

What does Forgex do?

Forgex is a precision channel utility — the Swiss army knife that goes on every track. Gain (-100 to +24 dB), pan with two pan laws, stereo width via mid/side, phase invert, six channel routing modes, a low-end monomizer, an intersample-peak limiter, and real-time correlation and level metering, all in one dead-simple utility.

What is the Low-End Monomizer?

It uses a Linkwitz-Riley 4th-order crossover (adjustable 20–500 Hz) to sum sub-bass to mono while keeping everything above the crossover in stereo. This eliminates sub-bass phase cancellation on club systems and keeps your low end tight and translation-proof.

What is the ISP Limiter?

The intersample-peak limiter catches peaks that occur between sample points — the ones that cause D/A converter clipping on playback. It holds a -0.1 dB ceiling with instant attack and roughly 50 ms release. When it's off, a transparent soft clipper guards the output instead.

How does the stereo width stay mono-safe?

Width runs from 0% (mono) to 200% (extra wide) in the mid/side domain. Above 100%, all-pass decorrelation widens the image while preserving mono compatibility, and a header indicator plus a real-time correlation meter (-1 to +1) warn you the moment anything drifts out of phase.

Does Forgex support Apple Silicon?

Yes. Forgex is a Universal Binary that runs natively on Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) and Intel Macs.
